Nesting Instinct - clasp

Maternal nest-building is regulated by the hormoes in a given species from birds, fish, squirrels, mice and pigs as well as humans. Shelter is so very important to survival, so it should come as no surprise that setting up a cozy spot for the new arrivals is so important.

The March 2017 inspiraton painting on the Art Bead Scene is

Oil On Paper

This barricaded yet cozy spot inspired my polymer clay nest. And since the Eastern bluebird is a harbinger of spring, I placed tiny blue eggs inside. Each nest is hand made, cured and painted and includes a 20mm hook.

Size: 20mm wide x 6mm high; hook is 20mm x12mm
Metal: Antique Copper or Antique Silver (limited to five of each metal)
Colors: brown, tan, grey, aqua
